Last Updated: April 2025

Introduction

At Camel Finance, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Variance Technologies Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, or “us”), the operator of CamelFinance.co.uk, collects, uses, shares, and safeguards your personal information. It also outlines your rights regarding your personal data and how you can contact us. We adhere to applicable privacy laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India and its rules, as well as relevant global standards (e.g., GDPR for users in the EEA and UK data protection laws for UK users).

By using our website and services — including signing up for an account or subscribing to the CF Cycle Trading Indicator — you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or service.

Information We Collect

We collect personal and usage information to provide and improve our Service. Types of information we may collect:

Personal Information You Provide

When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your name, email address, and username. You will choose a password, which is stored in encrypted/hashed form. We may also request additional information necessary to provide the service — for example, your TradingView username (to grant access to the invite-only Indicator) and your country or region (for localization or legal compliance). If you contact support, we collect the information you provide in that correspondence.

Payment Information

We do not collect or store full credit/debit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Payments are processed by third-party gateways:

  • Razorpay — For most new customer transactions. Payment data is transmitted directly to Razorpay over secure SSL. We receive only a confirmation and basic identifiers like the last four digits of the card or an anonymized token.
  • PayPal — For legacy recurring subscribers. You are redirected to PayPal to complete the transaction. We do not receive full PayPal credentials, only confirmation of payment.

Log Data

Our servers and analytics tools log standard technical data when you access the site: IP address, browser type/version, device, operating system, referral URL, pages viewed, dates/times of access, and other diagnostic data. We use this to ensure the site functions, analyze trends, and maintain security.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for session management (so you stay logged in), analytics, and tracking the effectiveness of promotions. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service (e.g., login persistence).

Analytics

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand site usage. This information is generally aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Communication Data

If you subscribe to our newsletter or opt in to updates, we collect your name and email and record your consent. We track email engagement (opens, clicks) to improve communications.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (passwords for other services, financial data beyond what processors handle, health data, etc.). The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us so we can remove it.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the Service — create your account, grant indicator access via TradingView, process payments, deliver subscription benefits.
  • Communicate with you — transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, password resets, service notices), and marketing emails only with your consent. You can opt out of marketing anytime.
  • Customer support — respond to your tickets and improve our help workflows.
  • Improve and develop the Service — analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, plan new features.
  • Security and fraud prevention — detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, protect users.
  • Legal compliance — tax records, regulatory obligations, lawful requests from authorities.

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider another compatible and lawful use. If we need to use your data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and obtain consent or ensure a lawful basis.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share or disclose information in these situations:

Service Providers and Partners

  • Payment Processors (Razorpay, PayPal) — billing information and identifiers needed to complete transactions.
  • Hosting and IT Infrastructure — cloud providers (e.g., AWS or managed hosts) that store our data under contractual safeguards.
  • Email and Communication Tools — providers that help us send transactional and marketing email.
  • Analytics and Support Tools — vendors that help us understand usage and respond to support tickets.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If Variance Technologies Pvt. Ltd. undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred. We will ensure the successor entity is bound by the same privacy commitments, or we will notify you.

Enforcing Our Rights

We may share information to enforce our Terms, collect amounts owed, or investigate suspected fraud or illegal activity.

With Your Consent

For any other sharing not covered above (e.g., publishing a testimonial with your name), we will only share with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Outside of the scenarios above, your personal information stays with us.

Data Security

  • Encryption — passwords are hashed; data in transit is protected via SSL/TLS.
  • Access Controls — personal data is accessible only to authorized personnel who need it to perform their job.
  • Firewalls and Monitoring — we use firewalls and monitoring to detect malicious traffic and unusual activity. Systems are patched regularly.
  • Your Role — keep your credentials safe and don’t share them. Contact us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

In the unlikely event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will follow applicable laws and notify you and the relevant authorities as required.

Data Retention

  • Account Information — kept for as long as your account is active. After cancellation we may retain it for a reasonable period for reactivation or record-keeping. On a deletion request we delete or anonymize, except where law requires retention.
  • Payment and Transaction Records — retained for financial reporting and audits as required by tax law (which may apply even after account deletion), then deleted or anonymized.
  • Support Communications — kept while needed to resolve your issue and for a reasonable period afterward to improve our service.

Your Rights

  • Right to Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data. You can also update most profile fields directly in your account.
  • Right to Erasure — request deletion of your personal data. We may retain certain data for legal reasons as noted in Data Retention.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent for processing based on consent (e.g., marketing emails) at any time. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
  • Right to Object — object to direct marketing (always honored) or to legitimate-interest processing in certain cases.
  • Right to Data Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format where applicable.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint — with your local data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a support ticket via the Contact Page.

Your Choices

  • Account Profile — review and update personal information from your account settings.
  • Emails — opt out of marketing anytime by unsubscribing. You will still receive transactional emails for as long as you have an active account.
  • Cookies — accept or decline via browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
  • Do Not Track — our site does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry standard for their interpretation.
  • Third-Party Links — if you follow links to other sites (TradingView, social media, articles), you are subject to those sites’ privacy practices.

International Data Transfers

Camel Finance is operated by an Indian company and our servers may be located in India or other jurisdictions. If you access the Service from outside India, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in India and possibly other countries depending on our hosting arrangements. India may not have the same data protection laws as your home country, but we will protect your information according to this Policy wherever it is processed.

For users in the EEA, UK, or other regions with data transfer restrictions, we will use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) when transferring data out of your region. Our third-party providers are chosen in part based on adherence to global privacy standards.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For significant changes we will provide a more prominent notice (e.g., email or in-app).

Continued use of Camel Finance after modifications constitutes acknowledgement and consent to the updated Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and contact us to request account and data deletion.
